
Madhuri Dixit is a famous Indian actress known for her role in the films 'Beta' Saajan', and 'Hum Aapke Hai Koun'. ..!' The actress began her career in the 1980s and gained fame with her appearance in the movie 'Tezaab', where she starred alongside veteran actor Anil Kapoor. In the movie 'Dil she appeared alongside Aamir Khan. She was born into a Mumbai middle-class family, and started dancing at an early age. She attempted acting when she was an teen but it wasn't easy. The majority of her initial films failed. Her career took off and soon went on to be a leading actress in the Indian film industry. She was forced to stop her career after her marriage and then returned to the entertainment industry. She was also an important part in the film "Gulaab Gang', which was about the challenges faced by women in India. Dixit has been nominated fifteen times for Filmfare Awards. Eight of these awards she won. Dixit was also awarded the Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian award in India. Her social work is also one of the highlights.
