Christina Haack was conceived in Anaheim, California. Her first job after leaving school was working in the industry of real estate. She was introduced to Tarek Al Moussa while working in the industry of real estate. They were very successful in the years prior to 2008 when the stock market crashed and numerous house flippers and real estate investors were bankrupt. Tarek El Moussa and Christina El Moussa were nearly financially bankrupted after the stock market crash of 2008. The couple went from a $6,000 monthly home up to a condo that cost $700 per month. The economy and their business in general slowly recovered. HGTV and Rise to Fame In 2011 Tarek requested a colleague to help him make an HGTV audition tape, which featured him and Christina flipping a house from the beginning to the end. The tape landed in executive offices of a production company called Pie Town Productions. They fell in love with Tarek and Christina. They signed an official contract with HGTV in the year 2012. Flip of Flop was launched in April of 2013. From 2013 to 2017, 92 episodes broadcast over the course of seven seasons. The show featured Christina and Tarek buying properties in Orange County. They would invest weeks in transforming the homes in order to make them for profit. Tarek's main focus is demolition and renovations, whereas Christina prefers design.
